INCINERATOR
THREAT
CONSERVATIVES
IN GUILDFORD maintain
their opposition to the proposed incinerator in Guildford.
The
meeting of Surrey County Council to decide the fate of the planning applications
will take place on 6th and 7th December.
The delay is due to the time it has taken to receive and process the
necessary paperwork for the Capel/Redhill applications.
While
the Lib Dem MP for Guildford has been making negative noises, but cannot
influence the decision, the County Councillor for Guildford East, Nick Brougham
, has been working behind the scenes, and is confident that the Slyfield
application will be rejected.
Andrew Hodges maintains his opposition to the proposal. However, we must be aware that any planning permission refused can always be taken to appeal and in that event public concern will remain

Hodges at the Clavadel Hotel
A NEW APPLICATION to double the size of the Clavadel Hotel has been received by the Council. The result, if approved, would be to remove the non-residential restaurant and increase the number of bedrooms. This should have a significant effect on the already busy roads. Objections are already being made. Andrew Hodges is paying close attention to them. Please let him have your views.

Andrew Hodges is willing
to see residents at mutually convenient times.
If you wish to meet with him to discuss any matter, please do not
hesitate to contact him.
