CELEBRATING 25 YEARS AS YOUR COUNCILLOR

THE CONSERVATIVE GROUP ON GUILDFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL marked the first twenty-five years of Andrew Hodges being Borough Councillor for the Christchurch Ward with a presentation of engraved crystal champagne glasses.  This took place at the recent AGM of the group. He was unanimously re-elected as leader of the Conservative Group on the Council.  Under the new form of local government he is Shadow Leader of the Council and Shadow Lead for Economic Development.

RECYCLING

CHRISTCHURCH RESIDENTS look set to have recycling from their doorsteps. Following a pilot scheme first proposed by the Conservatives years ago a borough wide scheme will at last be started.

A MESSAGE FROM

NICK BROUGHAM

AFTER A POSITIVE CAMPAIGN, Surrey Conservatives held all their Guildford seats, and in Surrey as a whole the Conservative majority was boosted from 18 to 26.

These Surrey successes show that good local policies in action can buck national political trends.

County Councillor Nick Brougham

I look forward now to standing side by side with Andrew Hodges as we face our next electoral challenge in two years time, to remove the Lib/Lab pact that purports to run Guildford and replace it with a strong active Conservative administration.

On a personal note, may I thank all those who supported me on June 7th.  For those who did not, I can assure you that I will be available and listening should you have any problems with which I can assist you.
