More on recycyling
You can contribute further with recycling ,as you can now dispose of your used computer printer cartridges and ink jets in a more environmentally-friendly way. At four locations in the Borough there are four new recycling banks - in Christchurch Ward there is one at Spectrum.

Of 60 million inkjet cartridges used each year in the UK, only 10% are recycled. The rest are thrown away, producing thousands of tonnes of waste. Recycling them helps the environment and re-using them is strongly supported by Friends of the Earth. Most inkjet and laser cartridges can be recycled and are sold with a guarantee. Remanufactured cartridges work as new and cost far less. |
Parking in the ward -
![]() |
The Council is currently
carrying out a formal consultation for the extension of the controlled
parking zone in the ward. Residents in roads outside the current zone ave
expressed their wish for the extension - particularly in roads off Epsom
Road. The consultation for the present zone had a response from about 44%
of households. So Andrew Hodges hopes that there will be a similar
response this time.
The consultation will be sent to households outside the current area within the area bounded by London Road, Boxgrove Road and Warren Road.
